Department of General Services (DGS)

The Department of General Services provides facility and fleet maintenance services for the county, as well as central contract and purchasing, printing, scanning, mail, surplus property and warehousing.

General Services has been at the forefront of the quality effort and is a customer driven organization. Our mission is to provide quality facility management and support services.

• Facility Management & Planning (FPM) includes master planning, energy management, lease development and environmental stewardship of county owned facilities. FPM also oversees the County Parking Enterprise
• Facility Operations includes maintenance of county-owned facilities and equipment, custodial and security services.
• Fleet Operations manages the acquisition and maintenance for the over 4,000 light and heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Administration includes Contract and Purchasing Services, countywide allocated cost budgets and accounting, and support services for printing and scanning services, mail messenger service, as well as Surplus Property and warehousing.

DGS manages programs to service 54 County departments, providing the means for other County agencies to perform their missions in an effective and efficient manner.
